JumpStart Your X13 Journey Now

Supermicro is offering qualified customers the opportunity to test drive the new X13 systems containing the future 4th Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processors. These systems are available to test application compatibility, explore new features, and perform single system benchmarking.

Before any new technology is made available, existing and potential customers should be able to perform a “test drive” to understand and interact with the new technology. While early shipments of new technologies may not always be feasible, testing the compatibility and performance of a single new server with an unreleased CPU or GPU can be extremely valuable. Validating, testing, and benchmarking are encouraged. Getting experience with a new CPU will enable developers to be more confident of the performance once their server arrives and that their software runs flawlessly, resulting in a quicker “time to productivity.”

The Supermicro X13 JumpStart program allows qualified users to log in to a Supermicro server containing the future 4th Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processor that has not yet been released to the public. Remote access allows users to load their applications, run compatibility tests and learn more about how to access new features with the 4th Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processors (formerly codenamed Sapphire Rapids). There are a number of systems available, each with two processors and 512GB of memory. These systems will incorporate DDR5 DRAM, PCI-E 5.0, CXL 1.1, and Intel Advanced Matrix Extensions (Intel AMX).

The systems used in this Supermicro JumpStart program will include a number of Supermicro Hyper-E servers. Each system will only allow for one user at a time, with limits placed on the number of hours per session based on demand. The systems will be pre-loaded with Ubuntu Live Server. Access over the internet will be via VNC and BMC.

Once you are logged in, you can check that your system has the 4th Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processor by typing the command, “lscpu” in a window.

Getting access is easy and is clearly documented at: www.supermicro.com/JumpStart/X13.
