Super Micro Computer, Inc. announced the availability of SAP HANA servers certified by SAP SE for VMware HCI.

Starting with our 2nd Generation Intel Xeon Scalable benchmarks, we are adding a number of our workload testing features to the mix as the next evolution of our platform.

Super Micro Computer, Inc. announced new solutions that are SAP HANA-certified for VMware hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI). Being certified for SAP HANA and VMware are one big benefit, the Supermicro servers are powered by second generation Intel Xeon Scalable CPUS and support Intel Optane persistent memory. This added performance is ideal for those that wish to leverage HCI for their SAP workloads.

Server component and system maker Supermicro is known for being out in front when any X86 processor comes to market and often shoots the gap between ODMs, who have a relatively small number of large customers, and OEMs, who have a large number of relatively small customers.

Telefónica has given the competitive mobile infrastructure community another major boost by announcing plans to trial not just 4G but also 5G open RAN technology in Germany, Spain, the UK and Brazil this year.

The promise of fifth generation (5G) wireless networks has been dangled in front of businesses for years. According to a company statement, the new MegaDC servers have a reduced component count and optimized power distribution and backplane designs.
