My SYS-821GE-TNHR is missing 2 GPU's and two NIC's. What should I do?

In this case, it sounds like 1 out of 4 PLX switches may be missing. Please try the following:
  1. Confirm missing PLX by using our SUM tool and running: ./sum -c getpcieswitch info (in-band)
    1. You may download the SUM tool using the following link: https://www.supermicro.com/en/support/resources/downloadcenter/smsdownload?category=SUM
  2. Confirm that all PLX firmware and CPLD are up to date.
    1. As of 2/7/2025, the latest firmware is 4.15 and CPLD 15
    2. Please reach out to Supermicro Technical Support for the latest revision
  3. Try draining all system power and reseating the GPU and Motherboard trays to ensure proper connection to the midplane. 
  4. If issue persists, please reach out to Supermicro Technical Service and provide the following logs:
    1. SUM -c getpcieswitchinfo
    2. lspci -tvvv
    3. nvidia-smi -q
