I updated the IPMI firmware to 3.03 today and when I try to bring up the serial console, I get


Info: SOL payload disabled


What does that error mean and how can I enable the SOL again (I use "ipmitool sol activate" to bring up the serial console; works fine on the other nodes that I have in the 6026TT-HTF).

Answer
Please try running "ipmitool sol payload enable c u" (where c is channel, and u is user id, so for default ADMIN user it should be 2). For example ipmitool sol payload enable 1 2.
