Media Alert: Supermicro Extends Lineup of uCPE SuperServer Platforms with Latest Intel® Select Solution
On May 7th, 2019, Supermicro will demonstrate its latest Intel® Select Solution for universal customer premises equipment (uCPE), the 1019D-16C-FHN13TP, featuring the Intel® Xeon® D2100 processor plus ADVA’s Ensemble Connector software, at the Big 5G Event in Denver, Co. Supermicro’s SuperServers enable software defined wide area network (SD-WAN) capability via network functions virtualization (NFV), allowing service providers and enterprises to smoothly configure networks that connect the cloud, datacenters, and IoT end devices.
Supermicro’s Intel® Select Solutions for uCPE, also including the 5019D-FN8TP, the E300-9D-8CN8TP, and the E300-9D, bring to customers pre-tested and verified hardware plus software platforms to simplify the implementation of new virtualized network functions (VNFs) and services.
The 1019D-16C-FNH13TP and Supermicro’s other SuperServers for embedded applications also implement edge computing functions for 5G and legacy networks such as multi-access edge computing (MEC) and AI inference. At the Big 5G Event, Supermicro will be showing a selection of SuperServers and IoT gateways.
