Question |
How is CMM redundancy maintained on a Microblade chassis with two CMM? |
|
Answer |
There is a Master and Slave relationship between two CMM in a chassis. If for some reason the Master CMM goes down, the Slave CMM will become active. When the Master CMM obtains an IP from the DHCP server, the slave CMM will sync and store the IP. If the Master CMM goes down, the Slave CMM will be active with the same IP. By the time the management station submits ARP, the Slave CMM MAC will be updated. CMM management will continue. |
