 Super Storage Bridge Bay (SBB)
Optimized for mission-critical, enterprise-level storage applications, Supermicro's innovative SYS-6036ST-6LR v2 Super SBB features a fully redundant, fault-tolerant "Cluster-in-a-box" system. The 3U Super SBB supports 16x 3.5" Hot-swap HDDs (SAS1, SAS2 or Enterprise SATA*) with the option to expand beyond 16 HDDS by using the SBB JBOD SYS-937R-E2JB. The Super SBB provides hot-swappable canisters for all active components. Each of the two Serverboard canisters contain support for Dual-Processors (5500/5600 series CPUs), 6 DIMM slots, 3 PCI-E Gen2 slots and 6Gbps SAS (SAS2). With the dual 10GbE connection between the Serverboards via the midplane, if one serverboard fails, the other serverboard is able to take over control and access the HDD's (both controllers can also work as Active-active mode), keeping the system up and running. Storage software is the key to enable this feature, which is available from several Supermicro's partners. Equipped with 1200W (Gold Level) high-efficiency redundant power supplies and redundant cooling fans, the SYS-6026ST-6LR is a highly-available, high-reliability storage system at a competitive price.
